About Capture the Light Photographic Tours
Capture the Light Photographic Tours is a Quality Tourism Accredited business running photographic tours to many different destinations in Western Australia including Karijini, the Pinnacles, The Pilbara, Christmas island and many more. During Winter and Spring we try to add an element of Macro photography (Wildflower & Orchids) to all day trips out of Perth and where ever possible schedule multi day tours for dark sky nights so we can add astro to our tours.
In 2024 we will return to places overseas including Borneo and Bhutan. Our aim is to take you to places that are less frequently visited, as well as the more iconic destinations, that offer a lot of photographic interest.
Our tours are designed to cater for any level of photographer from beginner to advanced with input and tuition available from formally trained, professional photographer, Anna-Mair Francis who has many years experience teaching all levels of photographer using any type and brand of camera.
Anna-Mair Francis is an internationally known award winning photographer. She has had many of her photographs published and held many successful exhibitions, selling her work to clients both locally and overseas.
We have been exploring and researching Western Australia for many years and all of our tours have been extensively researched and chosen for their uniqueness or what they have to offer photographically. We have taken care to be at the right locations when the light is at its best, giving you the best opportunities to get great shots.
Whilst our tours are aimed at photographers none photographers are welcome to join us to discover the great areas that we venture to.

Terms and Conditions
We will require a waiver to be signed on the day before starting the tour. We will email you a copy of this so that you can read it before hand so you know what you are signing. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance for multi day tours. We will require you to take a RAT test the day before departure for any overnight or multi day tours. If you get a positive reading or you are feeling unwell with cold or flu-like symptoms we cannot accept you on this tour. We will require medical certificate that you have Covid or have been unwell to activate a Covid credit (minus costs already paid out to third parties) otherwise our normal cancelation policy applies. In these circumstances you payment will be credited towards another trip minus any land costs we have incurred which have been paid to our suppliers. This will over-ride our normal cancellation policy. When you make a booking with Capture the Light Photographic Tours 20% of the tour cost will be regarded as a deposit/booking fee unless a specific amount is stated as a deposit. Your deposit is non refundable unless for some reason the Capture the Light Photographic Tours cancels the trip, in this case your deposit and any other funds will be refundable or held over against a future date. We recommend you take out insurance that will cover you in the event of you having to cancel. Your non returnable deposit will cover any administration or other costs connected to your booking. In the case of you cancelling the your tour then there maybe a penalty charged depending on the amount of time between the time of cancellation and the date of the tour.** The balance is due 6 weeks (42 days) prior to departure for overseas tours unless our overseas partners require the balance earlier in which case you will be advised of this before booking. After this date if you cancel your booking with us then there will be penalties incurring on a sliding scale as departure comes closer. Your original deposit is not refundable** Cancel between 28-21 days before departure & we will keep 25% of the balance**. Cancel between 20-14 days before departure & we will keep 50% of the balance**. Cancel between 13-7 days before departure & we will keep 75% of balance**. Cancel between 6-1 days before departure & we will keep 100% of balance paid. For multi- day tours within Western Australia full payment is due 3 weeks prior to departure unless our partners require payment before this date but you will be advised of this after booking. Cancel between 21 -14 days before departure & we will keep 25% of the balance**. Cancel between 13 -7 days before departure & we will keep 50% of the balance**. Cancel between 6-3 days before departure & we will keep 75% of balance**. Cancel between 2-1 days before departure & we will keep 100% of balance paid. For 2 day, 1 night tours the full payment is due 2 weeks prior to departure. Cancel between 14 -7 days before departure & we will keep 25% of the balance**. Cancel between 7 -3 days before departure & we will keep 50% of the balance**. Cancel between 2-1 day before departure & we will keep 100% of balance paid. For day and half day tours and lessons, portrait shoots:full payment is due on booking. Cancel 7-4 days prior we will offer you a credit to be used within 12 months. Cancel 3 days prior and we will keep 50% of the balance. Cancel with less than 48 hours notice and we will keep 100% For half day and one day tours and lessons and portrait shoots bank charges, booking fees and an administration fee of $50 will be deducted regardless and the cancelation percentages are the same as the figures above. **Please note that all bank Charges and currency exchanges plus an administration fee of $AUD100 will be deducted from the figures above before monies are returned to you for overseas and multi-day and overnight tours within Western Australia. Any deposits made for accommodation, vehicle hire, ticketing, bookings made with third parties and equipment hire are subject to third party cancellation policies and will be deducted from the total if we are out of pocket. Covid lockdowns Events postponed due to Covid lockdowns will be rescheduled. If the event is structured around another (third party) event that cannot be easily rescheduled then alternative arrangements will be considered. If you are booking from overseas or outside of Western Australia please be aware that our State Government may close our borders in response to Covid outbreaks which is beyond our control. We strongly encourage you to get covid cover on your insurance as full refunds are unlikely but we will offer you a rescheduled tour. We cannot guarantee that you get the photographs that you want but you will be given the advice you need to improve your shots. The light conditions and the weather is a major factor in the perfect shot and this is out of our control. There are no refunds or additional tours offered if this occurs.
Capture the Light Photographic tours will protect your personal information. We will keep your personal data only for our own use and will never pass it on to a third party. We will add you to our mailing list unless you notify us that you do not want to be added. All our mailings have an unsubscribe button for you to opt out of future mail outs.
